I have no idea how I lost my iPod Photo (60GB!) Idiot.

I need to replace it. It appears the iPod has not been updated for awhile. I'm not much to follow rumors, but I think buying now would be a bad idea. I'm not desperate. Just wondering if anyone knew of announcement patterns, etc.

I'm waiting on an updated Nano to come out any day now. It's been almost a year since they introduced it and they haven't updated it at all.

Are you looking for another 60g-ish size iPod?

Technically not true, since they did add a smaller capacity version. Probably not the kind of update you're thinking of, but the product line hasn't been entirely unchanged. I think they've had to wait on flash memory prices to come down before they can update them, and it's been long enough now that the rumors of a new metallic enclosure accompanying the change might be true.

Anyway, I think we'll see new full-sized iPods within a couple of months, and probably nanos as well.
