Hey all.
well I just got this very awesome little gadget today and all I can say is wow! the reception it has is clear, and constant. no static no fuzz no nothing except for clear and awesome sound. I first tried out the griffin version of this, and there was static ect.
you can set it up so that if your in europe, japan, or usa, the stations in these areas are used. very very nifty.
the remote is attached to the ipod via the dock connector and has its own hold switch, fwd, back, play/pause buttons, and on top is a standard 8mm audio input so that you can hook it to any speakers you have or use any kind of headphones. also, there is a clothes clip so it's not just dangling and in your way. Battery life is not effected at all.
complaints: (and these are very minor), is that with the remote cord and your head phones, the wiring is a tad long.
wanted to let you guys and galls knows about my experience so far with this neat little gadget from Apple.

The long cords are probably why you don't get as much static as you did with the Griffin product. A radio needs an antenna, and the cables are what this device uses for its antenna. Longer is better here, even if you coil it up-you could use those little velcro strips to keep the part you never need coiled up and out of the way.
It looks schweet! Too bad I never get the chance to use my iPod anymore. Too busy studying....Hey, wait a minute! I can use it to block out all the other people studying around me!!! I'm getting more and more interested in this product by the minute!

k, well, i'm an idiot LOL
i just found out by just doing it that if you press the middle ipod button that you can scroll through all radio stations. so now my only complaint is the longish cord, which you are probably right about Glenn, it is a tad thicker.

Can you plug another set of headphones into the regular port? Will it play to one vs. the other, both? Any chance of independant volume control?
