Just to let everybody know I used and abused the search function before I posted. Heres my story. In Jan of 05 I bought the ipod even though I didn't have a home computer, I did however have a real cool employer that let me load itunes onto my work computer and do all my itunes stuff at work. I bought over 400 songs from itunes and loaded a ton of personal CDs and friends CDs totaling up to almost 2500 songs. Well I left that company in May and just a few weeks ago bought a new 2-gig imac for home, boy this thing is awesome. Well obviously I want to get itunes up and running on my new home computer and start going to town all over again. I heard ipodrip was the the way to go so I try.....no work, I e-mail support and follow directions, no work, I try and try and try and no work...

This is what I've done so far.

1. Download ipodrip and follow instructions
2. only copies 1100 of the 2500 songs
3. e-mail support and follow instructions...no work
4. go back and forth with support and never get more than 1100 songs to copy, even tried to copy little blocks at a time...still no work.

So I try ipodcopy...same as above

Then I try Senuti and the same thing happens

In each case when I open the music folder the sub folder with the artists name is empty. And one last piece of info...when I first hooked up the new imac I erased all the music from my pod...yup I'm a F'n dumbass I know that, but was able to get all the music back on it by plugging it back into my old employers computer. Could this be part of my troubles?

I'm lost, I'm not a computer guy I just want it to work, I just want my songs on my new imac, what am I doing wrong.

Thank you
Robert Warren
