Here's the deal: I have an old 2G 20 Gig Ipod. I just got a 60g video. I have all my music on an external firewire drive. I have a Powerbook and a PowerMac. I just attach the external drive to which ever machine I'm using, for music purposes only. I have transferred all of my music to my new iPod which is connected to the laptop when the drive is connected also.

My issue is all my photo's are on the desktop. I'm afraid to attach the new video Ipod to the desktop, not sure what may happen. I'm also too afraid to even connect the old iPod to either machine. Not sure what will happen. I'd like to keep and use both iPods except I now have more music than the old one will hold, hence why I got the new one.

Should I only connect a particular iPod to a particular machine? What happens if I cross connect or something?

Just wondering...but I'd really like to take full advantage of the video and picture capability of the new iPod.
