Is there any way to hook a windows-formatted ipod video into a Mac and put songs on it? The windows-formatted ipod doesn't even show up on my desktop. Is there any third party software?

Edit: It just wants to update and in another thread it said you can only update via a Windows machine for a windows ipod. So does that mean I have to update it on a Windows machine and then it will work on my mac?

A Windows-formatted iPod will work on the Mac just as it would under Windows.

The only exception is that if you update its software, it will be Mac-formatted (and consequently erased). As long as you run software updates from Windows, the iPod can be used on both systems with no problems (other than the constant ****-ups caused by Windows being Windows).
