Hopefully someone out there can steer me in the right direction!

Here's the situation. I have an older ibook and had some pics on it. To free up space I moved the pics to my ipod photo and deleted them off of my iBook. I now have an external hard drive and want those pics on that HD with my other images (from my other mac). When I connect my iPod to my other mac it tells me that the iphoto library is linked to another computer (my ibook) and asks if I want to replace my images. I click no. Now here is when it gets confusing.

When I look at my iphoto file in the Finder I see Picture files. I was able to import those pics but soon realized that they were pics I already had on my External HD. And they aren't even the ones that I can see on the ipod. The images that I can see on my iPod are the pics I am trying to move over. My ipod shows me a ton of pictures when it isn't docked. Those are the pics that I want to add to my iphoto library on the external HD.

Simply...
The pics I see on my Ipod I cannot see in Finder under iPod,
The files I see in Finder under iPod I cannot see on my iPod.
I would like the pics I see on my iPod to be transfered to my external HD with my other iPhoto library.

Help!!!!

Thanks in advance.

This thread may get you started: Transfering Songs From iPod to iPod

In it I describe how to move music from one iPod to another. The invisible folder iPod_Control contains the photos and the music on the iPod. You should be able to find them by opening that folder (as I describe in the thread above). Alternatively, there may be a utility available that does the same thing.

Yes, because the other items are hidden. It's really easier to do it using the Terminal.

I would assume the photos are in PhotosFolderAlbums. You can either navigate there and copy it in the Finder or do cp in Terminal.
