Can anyone comfirm that the black iPod nano will only be available for the 8GB model? I only wanted a 2GB model in black-not really interested in the silver or the other colours. Many thanks.

How about looking at The Apple Store (U.S.) ? Yes the 8Gb nano is only black.

If you only like black you will have to purchase the 8GB model. Apple charges a premium for black these days.

Oh. That kinda sucks. I was waiting around for a new model but might just pick up the old black nano instead, not after a high storage model. Cheers guys.

One thing to consider is you'll be gaining 10 hours of battery life if you purchase one of the new models. Not only this, but you will also be getting Apple's newly designed headphones.

Old nano = 14 hrs of battery life
New nano = 24 hrs of battery life

Yeah, theres that as well. I might just wait and see what the silver one looks like, if its pretty enough i'll get that, do want the extra battery life and I know its slightly thinner as well.

It's .01 in or .4 mm thinner. Hardly dramatic
