I just got the new 2gb ipod. What kpbs rate do you use? i have mine set at 128 using the aac encoder. I am importing cd's into itunes and would like to see what settings others use.

128 is a good bit rate for AAC. I usually use 160 just to give myself a little extra wiggle room should I want to transcode or something, but I can't really tell the difference.

I use 256 for fun, but I really can't tell the difference.

I just use 128. Sounds good to me.

The iTunes default for AAC; which i think is 128.
Sounds good to me through headphones, airtunes, and in my car. Works for me
