We've all had the unfortunate incident in which we boot up our Mac, sudden;y a horrible error has taken place and next thing we know, we are contemplating the loss of hundreds of dollars in music, just to have your Mac back. It's happened twice this week to me, on my iBook Clammy, and my Slowshiba, both laptops.....Anyways, I am interested in what the best programs are out there to "rip"the music from the iPod, back to the HD. I have tried a few, and some are complicated and useful, others are easy to use, and just as worthless. Take iPod.iTunes for instance. Hard as hell to use, complicated, but essentially free. Only problem is it only likes to transfer three-four songs of each album off my iPod and back to my HD. I continually try to re-rip, yet to no avail. Pod Manager, seams great, but have to buy program first. The triall is ten times better than the full version. Your thoughts and opiniuons would be great to hear. And yeah, I know, iTunes 7 has this feature now, but the downside is it only lets you take purchased music, and my iBook Clamshell is still running Jaguar.
