Help, currently at work trying to get the directors newly purchased IPOD to work with ITUnes 6. Itunes 6 is the only version that is allowed to be installed on the work computers at the moment. when i connect the ipod and start itunes 6.0 i get 2 seperate error messages. 1. Registry settings used by itunes for importing and burning cd's and dvd's are missing. *****2. THe ipod cannot be used because it requires itunes version 7.0 or later.****

Please help if there is a way around this...

You are up the creek. The firmware in the newer iPods NEEDS iTunes 7.0 and WILL NOT WORK WITH 6.0. Not at all. Get the director to point this out to the IT folks or whomever it is that decides what's allowed on your work computers.

The message that you got is just exactly what it says; you MUST HAVE 7.0 or later to use that iPod.
