I have a 30GB Video iPod, (5G), and I am STILL having problems with podcasts. Some will not start without rebooting the iPod, others reboot the iPod when I hit the end of the podcast.

These same podcasts play fine on the computer.

Surely, Apple should be able to get this fixed by now! Anyone else still having problems???

Thanks.

That's not iTunes fault. Have you been able to find common characteristics between the podcasts that are failing?

I do not see any thing common with the podcasts that fail.

I one case, the Focus on the Family daily podcast always reboots the iPod if I don't move the start of the podcast to 0:01. Then, it will work fine.

In another case, Inside Mac daily podcast will reboot the iPod when it gets to the end of the show.

Other podcasts seem to play fine. (Money Matters, The Onion Radio News, Upwords with Max Lucado, Words of Hope Daily Devotion, The Writer's Almanac, InTouch with Charles Stanley, etc.)

You might have a bad iPod. Go to a store and see what they think....

I'm fairly sure it's not my iPod that is having the problem. Adam Christianson is referencing this problem on the MacCast podcast, so it's not just me having the problem.

It also sounds like it's only the video iPod's that are experiencing this issue.

I hope Apple will issue a patch soon to fix this!

According to Mr. Jobs, Hell froze over when iTunes was released for Windows

I'm having the same problems with some of my podcasts as well. I thought they might be isolated cases but looks like i'm facing similar issues with edavis. Will post if I find anything concrete or notice any patterns..
