I ordered my new laptop and while I was at it, decided to order a pink iPod Mini refurb for my wife for a gift. I got my order confirmation and it says the iPod won't ship for three more weeks! I thought refurbs were sitting around waiting to be purchased, now I'm wondering if I should contact Apple and spend another $80 for a refurb iPod video. Anybody experienced this before? Thanks!

Normally they are just setting around waiting to be purchased. They don't show the product if it isn't available. Very odd.

I thought I'd give you a heads up. The iPod Minis went off the refurb site for about a day this week. This may be the reason there are such delays on them! When I bought my refurb mini in early September, it was shipped within two days.
