I have a 1st generation 5gb ipod that has done everything I could ever ask of it. I'm just getting a little sick of shuffling songs on and off of it. I've recently heard mumblings of people replacing 1st generation 5gb hard drives with 10 and even 20gb units. I've read some posts on the process, but have yet to find clear, concise directions. I recently replaced the battery, so I'm not scared of opening and digging around inside the case. Does anyone know of a step-by-step tutorial as well as form factors on the model numbers of hard drives that fit 1st generation ipods?
