Hello, I recently purchased a 5.5Gen 30GB white iPod. I am currently using a windows *gag* machine but plan to buy a Mac down the road. What is the best way to transfer all my libraries to the new machine? Also, can I transfer all my iTunes settings, meta data, etc. Lastly can I reformat the iPod on the mac? because it is obviously formated as on windows right now. NFTS vs. FAT32 if I am not mistaken?

Probably external drive or hook them up by network and leave it on over night while you copy all your stuff from the pc to the mac!
