Are there any hacks out there that would enable the iPod radio menu without buying the $45 attachment?

Or, if the tuner is in the attachment and not the iPod, is there any way to construct a "homebrew" one?

$45 for a radio just seems ridiculous

Sorry, I'm not aware of any competing products (yet) to give you local radio on your iPod.

But, do you know about this product?

Griffin Technology: iFill - Free Internet Radio for your iPod

I havent tried it, but it sounds great. You just use it with your computer to fill your iPod with music from your favorite internet radio stations.
