I had at least an IPOD from each generation. The newest baby here is the new 80GB 5th Generation IPD Video ...

I have about 40 GB of movies + games (all you can download from itunes) on it and when I browser through the Songs or Albums list it seems to freeze from time to time .. I am just wondering if this is jut the fact that the HDD is slow or if it might be faulty at some point ..

iv just upgraded from a mini to an 80gb video, i have noticed that it is not as quick chaing songs as the mini was. I dont mind very much but it is noticable

Remember that its a dual platter drive. A mini is a compact flash drive so there no where related. Unless you had a 60 and then went to an 80 would you not see a diffrence

i have a 60g video and i have noticed this before. I guess the processor is not fast enough.

i have the 80gb version and yes, it is sluggish when accessing the hard drive. the 4th generation 40gb is much faster. Sometimes i wonder if i have a "lemon". Now that everyone is saying that i guess it is a common one.
