My new iPod Mini is not recognized by Windows XP. It is connected by USB 2.0. I believe it is formatted for Mac, so I would like to restore the factory settings.

I've heard rumors that Mini doesn't have USB support for WinXP. Is this true?

If I do buy the firewire adapter, and it is still not recognized, what then? Will I be able to restore it with XP even though it is formatted for Mac?
