Hello,

My girlfriend just got an iPod for Christmas. Her laptop is currently not working at all (she has a PC) and wants to hook it up to my Mac.

So she hasn't hooked up her iPod to what will be her "home" computer, and therefore the first computer she will hook it up to will be mine. I don't yet have an iPod (but will be getting one soon), so the first iPod I hook my computer up to will not be my "home" iPod. Are there any issues with this?

Not sure I'm being clear, but the essence of the question is, is there any significance to the first iPod you hook up to your computer, or the first computer you hook up to your iPod?

Thanks!

You can have as many iPods as you want syncing with the same computer/iTunes library. No problem there.

However... when she hooks her iPod to her PC again, it will not sync with that PC until it has been reset to use that computer as the home computer, and in the process of resetting will delete everything on the iPod and start fresh. That's the catch.
