My MacBook and PC (where all my music is) are on the same network. Is it possible to have my iPod sync to my notebook although all my music is on my PC? I'd hate to have to transfer all my music from my PC to my Mac

THanks!

format the ipod for your pc

connect ipod to your notebook and download songs on to the ipod

connect ipod to macbook and use senuti to transfer songs off ipod onto macbook

now your ipod works on both the mac and pc
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)

Additionally, if you don't want to store all your music on your macbook, just set iTunes to NOT synchronize when you plug in your iPod, and you can play music from your iPod through the iTunes interface.

Just don't under any circumstances, setup itunes to auto-sync with your iPod unless your music is there. In my own experience, I plugged an iPod into an iBook with an empty iTunes library, and iTunes cleared out my iPod in an attempt to "sync" it. I had to use file restoration software to recover my music, and even then I lost some. Just a word of warning...
For all the trash I talk, I sure own a lot of Macs...
