First iPod should arrive today. No one I know has one and I've only very briefly looked them over a couple times in Apple Stores.
So... while waiting, I'm cruising sites looking for s/w to grab. Thinking games, who knows what.
EVERY Freaking mook in the world seems to have written an alt app to move tunes to and from their desktop (Win especially) avoiding iTunes. How bad is it?
Oh and notes apps seem to be popular too. Isn't that what a PDA is for?
iTunes (and Quicktime) for Windows are horrific. They're better than MMJB (which shipped with the 2G iPods for Windows), but theres a reason that everyone and their dog has written their own app to transfer music.
And with the sort of "upgrades" Apple is pushing out for iTunes (liks 6->7), it doesn't seem to be improving anytime soon.
