I just read this and no battery replacement for the sensorr?! 1000 hours is a long time but still...

Thought of getting this as i'm getting back into running again but am somewhat disappointed to learn that I have to get a new sensor/receiver kit when the batteries run out. Any current users here who can comment on the battery life so far. TIA

crack it open and replace the battery if you want - what have you got to lose?

ever try to replace the battery on an iPod Shuffle -I'm sure the Nike+ will be easier.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't seen the actual sportkit sensor but it's good to know you can open it up. Guess I'll give it a go.
