the model's been out for a while but i can't find a place on apple's online store to order an extra dock or two: sure as shootin' they'll be cheap, and i'll lose one or at a minimum end up at point B needing the dock that's at point A (since charging a shuffle's not as easy now as it was on the original version)

any ideas?

thanks
terry

3rd party companies sell other similar items. Mamaware (pardon my spelling) has one that plugs right into the USB port (it's like the old shuffle, except instead of controls, it's a dock). I don't think Apple's selling spare docks, though.

The AppleStore is selling the 2G shuffle dock for $29.

There is also a company called Incipio selling a very simple 2G shuffle USB adapter for $6. I got two so I can use my shuffle as a USB disk w/o the dock. Works just fine.

Found this one after some google search. This flexible dock is manufactured by
http://www.carrotidea.com

Bought one and used it, no difference from original dock. The winning feature of this dock is that it does not block out the adjacent USB ports like other similar products. It looks just like an apple cable and it goes with my shuffle all the time wherever I go.

At first I was worried with the Incipio USB adapter my shuffle would block the adjacent ports too. It turns out you just have to rotate the shuffle so it sticks up rather than sideways and all your adjacent ports are fine.
