Hi all,
Is it possible in the menu system of the iPod Video to 'Turn Off' Subtitles?
Kind Regards.

Where is the 'Turn on Subtitles' setting? They must be encoded into the video, if you're seeing on them on the iPod.

Perhaps i have worded the question wrong....
On set top dvd players you very often have a menu setting to either show or hide film/video subtitles....
Does the iPod video have this option....
Or do you have to ensure the video does not have subtitles encoded....?
Kind Regards.

The iPod does not have such an option. To make sure you don't have subtitles, you'll need to use the settings in your encoding program (like Handbrake or whatever).
