I'm running a rather old and slightly sad blueberry iMac with 10.2.8 loaded. My parents just bought me a 5.5G iPod for my birthday but I can't use the thing because I can't run Tunes 7. I've tried using Yamipod, but it crashes immediately.

Does anyone know of a software I can use to sync this little joy? Upgrading the OS is not an option right now for bugetary reasons...hence my still using a 7-year old computer as my primary machine.

iTunes 6 should work with it....

Unless you got one of what are referred to as "5.5G" iPods. You can tell if there's a picture of Jack Sparrow on the box being displayed on the iPod screen. In that case, well, er...

I dunno.

I definitely have the 5.5G, the box is sitting right here on my desk. Boo, this is such a kick in the butt...I've had it for two weeks almost and still have not listened to a thing.

Thanks for the help tho!

Wikipedia has a list of iPod managers that work with OS X or are cross-platform.

Comparison of iPod Managers - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I checked out Floola - it seems pretty good.
For all the trash I talk, I sure own a lot of Macs...
