I don't know what happened...
upgraded to 7.1 iTunes, OSX 10.49...
and suddenly my iPod (3rd generation) takes at least a minute before it pops up in the iTunes sidebar.

I did an iPod update and restore but that hasn't solved this issue.

Any ideas what's gone haywire?
