Hi
Is there a fast way to copy a playlist from lossless to aiff or do I need to do it song by song. I really dont want to import them all again.

goto the playlist>>> apple key+A (to select all the files>>> control click and click convert selection to AIFF!!!

I'm sure there is - if not in iTunes, then certainly in other apps. Try SoxWrap.

Sorry? I thought that AIFF supported compression?
If it doesn't, then I agree, it makes little sense.

The iPod shuffle (1G and 2G) both do not support Apple Lossless. They do however support AIFF.

Well, that makes it a lot more sensible. Of course, if it's for a shuffle, I would think some kind of compression would be desirable for most people. Oh well.
