Since my first question went great I have another. How is the reliability of the hard drive Ipods? For the money the 30 gig video seems a much better deal over the 8 gig Nano , if it holds up. I think I need a push in one direction.

The 30 gig is a better deal if you care about capacity and video. The Nano is a better deal if you care about size and weight. It's really that simple.

Hard drive reliability is good.

30 gig's are great, everyone in my family has one and specifically the hard drive has never been an issue

Hard drives for the ipod are amazing in my opinion. i dont know what they use but my is still alive after many falls and hits and such.
