For those of you who have them I would love to hear how the phone quality of it is.

Namely:

1. how do people sound that you are speaing to?
2. how do you sound to them?
etc...

Thanks!

Well, given that I get way better ATT reception at my house than I do with Verizon, my phone quality went up about 400%. I was worried since we just moved to a place on the edge of a canyon and the VZN reception is terrible. Given what I'd heard about ATT, I was thinking that I might have to return the iPhone and go back to my hated Treo. Thankfully, it all worked out.

So far, it sounds great. People are loud and crisp. No dropped calls, no complaints from others about me. I talked to my mom on her new iPhone (iPhone to iPhone) and we both that that the call sounded excellent.

I used the headphones that come with it to talk with someone today. They said I sounded great, but they could hear themselves echo a little bit. I assume thats because the mic is close to the earphones and I had it turned up pretty loud. I've read the same issues with speakerphone as well (mic and speaker are right next to each other).

Other than that, people sound clear to me. Everyone says I sound clear. I also read that someone rated it the best voice quality of any cell phone.

I haven't used the included headphones with built in mic yet, but just using it as a "Phone" people said I sound loud and clear. Sound is pretty good also from my end. Speaker phone was a little quiet for my tastes, but I don't honestly use it much.

I've had great responses so far from people I talked to. They all sounded crisp and clear and they said I sounded the same. The call quality (to me) is better than my Treo 650.

I get this fairly often on mobile phone calls. It depends on the connection.
