Power adaptors all the same?

	Are all the power adaptors for dock port ipods/iphones interchangeable? I have a 30-pin to firewire cable that came with my nano (I think) and the firewire power adaptor that I use to charge when I want to put my computer to sleep. There's no harm in using that for the iPhone is there even though it uses a different (and much smaller) USB power adaptor?
