My iPhone will not work in my car? I have a regular iPod that I plug into a special port and it plays through my car speakers and it sounds great. I try the iPhone and I just get feedback noise.
Do I need to change a setting to get the iPhone to funtion like a iPod in my car?
Thanks for your help.

I tried it with the airplane setting turned on and off and it still will not function in the car. The iPhone speaker is the only location music comes from. Disabling the speaker and activating the external speakers is what we need......

Is your iPhone plugged into the car through the dock connection or the headphone connection?

It is plugged in with the headphone connection.
That is how my iPod work with the same set up.
I'm not sure if a cord is available that would go from the dock connection to the input jack on my radio.

Ah ok, when you said it was a special port in the car I wasn't sure which part it used at the iPod end of the cable.
