Trying to transfer from ATT Slivr to iPhone - ATT store put old numbers on USB drive-- .pbb file extension doesn't seem to work on Mac - anyone know how to transfer contacts via USB flashdrive to a Mac? Apple Store trainer didn't know; neither did two ATT store clerks. Seems like this should be easier on a Mac, but it appears to be harder.

If you still have the phone, it might actually be easiest to set up the SLVR to sync with iSync using Bluetooth or a USB cable, and transfer the contacts over to Address Book that way. (I'm assuming that this is possible on the SLVR -- it is on an AT&T RAZR).

I will try this tonight when I'm back home with my Mac (I work on a PC). I will report back on whether it works. Thanks!

Instructions. You'll probably have to use your work PC to get the contacts out of the .pbb file. You can use the PC application to export them to Outlook [Express] format and then use Outlook [Express] to export them to a format readable by Address Book on your mac.
Pretty convoluted.

Slivr is plugged into Mac but nothing is happening via USB, so I assume Mac isn't recognizing device. I will try to import into work PC Outlook, but then how do I get them to a file format recognizable by Address Book? I have a long car trip next week - might be time to manually enter all the contacts. I have a Mac - this should be easy!! So frustrating. Thanks for the advice.

Just so we're clear, nothing happens automatically when you plug in the phone via USB. Have you tried adding the SLVR via iSync? And have you tried Bluetooth?

Switched setting on Slivr under Settings, Connection, USB Settings to memory card instead of Data/Fax connection - then computer (Mac) recognized phone; then went into phone address book, highlighted a contact, scrolled to Share Phonebook Entry, Bluetooth, then hit Select.... it copies to Mac as vCard, which is good, but only copies one at a time, which is bad.
anyone know how to copy all at once?

You don't want to access the phone as a memory card. You want to set it up to sync with Address Book.

Using iSync was the way to go - all of my contacts from my Slivr transferred over to Address Book and then synced with the iPhone - in about a minute. Thank you, thank you, thank you icruise!
