Switching iPod formats.. organizing problem?

i switched my ipod format from Windows to Macintosh.. but for some reason i can't find all of my songs.. it seems that it only shows me songs from albums and none that dont have an album name.. like i have the beatles on there and the only ones that show up are the ones where there is an album name the others arent there?? any ideas?
