Hey everyone,

So, I'm in a bit of a bind here (before I continue any further, I will admit I'm quite impatient)...

Anyway, I've picked up my iphone, but have discovered that my previous verizon contract isn't up for another two months. I very much want to enjoy my new gadget (*NOW*) and I realize there are a few ways to activate my phone.

My main question is, if I activate my phone prematurely, can I still sign up for AT&T's service contract? I would like to do a single gophone payment to activate it and really give the phone/email a run, then simply wait till my verizon business is done, port my number, and completely switch over to the iphone.

1. Can I do this in this way? Can Gophone be switched over to a regular contract?
2. I've heard that gophone'ing your iphone makes some messages pop up regarding used minutes... will this stop after I switch over?
3. Will I have any trouble porting my number when changing contracts?
4. (I suppose this may help the most..) Can I run itunes' activation more than once?? If this is the case, I could maybe run the activation a second time to avoid most the hassle when I fully subscribe on ATT's network?

Any answers to the above are much appreciated. I'm sorry for sentence structure and any other errors as I am a bit rushed at the moment.

Thanks in advance for any help.
- matt

PS. I have alreay asked many of these questions of ATT and I get mixed answers.

AT&T is probably the best-suited to answer those questions, as inconsistent as they'll undoubtedly be in their answers....good luck.
