I noticed the today that my iPhone right speaker isn't working. I never checked to make sure it worked when I got the phone, but couldn't imagine that this is normal. Can someone check theirs? Play a song, and cover the left and right speaker up with your finger one at a time. No matter what song I play, no music from the right side. If I use the headphone jack, I have audio on L and R.

Also, when pushing the home button on the bottom, is there supposed to be a click or only when you push the sleep button up top?

The right "speaker" is a microphone - no sound should be coming out.

Sound only comes out of the left speaker, whether you're listening to music or on speakerphone, because that is the only speaker on the phone.


As for the clicking, I get a physical click sound when I hit the home button, but the "camera-ish" shutter noise only when hitting the sleep button.
