I have been using the Nike+i-pod wireless pedometer to train for a marathon with my ipod nano 4GB. All of a sudden during my run it stopped my "basic" workout and then flashed the "firewire not supported" message. Upon plugging in my USB cable to my PC, i-tunes would not automatically open as usual and the "firewire" message would not go away on my ipod. I manually opened i-tunes and quickly hit the "restore" button on i-tunes before the "firewire" messsage was able to disply on i-tunes. Since then here are the issues I have......
1.) I-tunes does not seem to recognize the songs that are currently on my i-pod. When I click on "Ryan's ipod" it does not display these songs so I can "drag and drop" songs in and out of my music library or i-pod.
2.) I now always receive the message"Some of the items in the i-tunes libary were not copied to the ipod because you are not authorized to play them on this computer". All these songs are songs I have purchased from i-tunes online. I have not changed computers!

Why when I hit restore did not restore to the exact set up I had the last time I synced? It gave me some really old settings.

Please help
