My 3rd gen ipod became a chew toy for my bored dog one night.... I was very upset. I decided hey its June, there should be new ipods soon, I cant buy one now, Ill make due with my pda. the pda kind of stinks... I just dont like using it...
It all changed yesterday, I was trolling craigslist.com and someone posted a busted photo ipod for 20 bucks, stating that it was probably a bad Hard drive (thats what apple said). When my ipod was masticated by my dog, I saved the Hard drive and battery because I just cant throw stuff away soooooo I now have a perfectly working 15 gig ipod photo Now I can hold out for months on the next Gen Ipod

That's pretty cool. Good idea really, though make sure you keep it away from the dog

Dogs will eat just about anything. One of mine ate a pair of eyeglasses once. Pissed me off royally, since eyeglasses, including lenses, are far more expensive than an iPod. Arg... now that I'm thinking about it, I feel like going and kicking her again (a figurative "kick" and not an actual one, so no emails, please).

Give the dog to your local humane society and pick up a cat on the way home.

I've got one of those, too. And, nope, never ate anything that wasn't food.
