How bad are the scratches been so far? Does it scratch as easily as certain other devices?

so far I haven't gotten any scratches on the screen after six weeks, although two weeks ago I got a Griffin belt holster that came with a screen protector. There are a few scratches on the silver bezel around the outside and a couple of nicks around the corners (thanks to a short drop onto asphalt) but otherwise no scratches like the iPod, which I assume you meant by "other devices."

In fact the drop onto asphalt ended face DOWN with no ill effects.

Zero scratches on the screen, some scuffs on the silver edge lining, yet it is not something you can see without really looking.
I would say it is very durable, I carry mine in my pocket have had my keys slide across the screen, though no drops yet.

I only have one tiny little scratch on the silver surround and I don't use any cases or screen protectors.

No scratches on the screen and my wife has dropped it onto the screen twice.
I do have a scratch on the back, below the Apple logo though.

I haven't seen any scratches to my phone. The 3 others I know with iPhone also have not had issue. The screen is pretty resilient.

I use the case my iPod originally came with. My screen's perfect but it's inevitable keeping the chrome frame from hairline scratches.
