This past Friday, I had an iPhone go nuts and start atcing on it's own (buttons being pushed, even though I wasn't touching them). I ended up having to get Apple support involved, and get the phone replaced. I posted the more lengthy version on my site:

McMahonWeb » My Crazy iPhone (and the Apple support that followed)

I haven't seen others who have had quite the same screen issue, but if you do, it's no fun. The bright side is, Apple was great to deal with, and I got a replacement immediately.

Hope this info is helpful.

That would be a pretty serious problem, since it could conceivably call people or send/delete email without you touching the phone at all. Glad that they got it replaced.
