I've never seen any posts about 'hidden costs.'
The base plan is $60; beyond that, you'll have various local, state, and federal taxes tacked onto your monthly bill.

I signed up for th $60/mo. plan and my 2nd bill (the first had sign up fees and such on it) was $60. No hidden fees or charges that they don't make clear. If you were to go over your SMS message limit or allowed talk minutes, you'd find some fees tacked on of course.

As others have indicated there are no "hidden fees or tricks" in iPhone bills. It's no different than any other cell phone plan - go over your alloted minutes and you will get charged extra.

The minimum plan is $40 for voice, $20 for unlimited internet. The only "hidden" costs are the ones that you get with all cell phones -- things like taxes and fees that add another 6-10 dollars to the bills depending on where you live.

Of course there are things like international roaming fees, which can be very expensive.
