I am looking for a free data recovery program I moved the music in my itunes from my Mac HD to an external drive and lost some of my songs, I had already deleted the itunes folder on my internal drive and the songs were not on my iPod so i was not able to do a reverse transfer from my ipod to add the songs back to itunes.

any ideas??

There's nothing free that will do this (assuming you have emptied the trash).

Yea i was working on freeing up some drive space and i moved my itunes music to my external HD and i forgot to consolidate it prior to emptying the trash i has most of the info stored on my external HD from my last backup, its not a great loss i can get the songs back i only lost maybe a dozen or so songs.
