Hey I have a 5th gen 30GB iPod which i use mainly as external storage and for music. Today I emptied out everything but the music in itunes... meaning that when u open the ipod it only appears contacts, calendars and notes... the problem is that when I open itunes it tells me that I have 12GBs int he category "other".. but i have nothing! :S

Dumb question:

Did you Empty the Trash in Finder? 'cuz if you didn't, all your external storage data is still on the 'Pod.
