For 399. 6 days later, they drop the price so that I could get an 8GB NEW iPhone for the same price. What a crock of crap.

if the feeling of opening it right now is worth $200 or whatever, go for it. otherwise, be glad you're not like the other people outside the 14 day period who are seriously pissed off because they can't get that money back right now.

.. consider it an upgrade. if they had changed the price in a few more months, you wouldn't be getting double the memory.

call up apple and ask for a price adjustment. it seems that the 8gb refurbs are going for 349, 50 less than the new ones, so ask for the same deal (249). if you get that deal, then no worries on opening the one you have.

A guy on MacInTouch.com had the same issue, and he was able to return the refurb and get a refurb 8 Gig, no problem. He said they offered him a $50 gift certificate first, so either way, you can get something out of it.

I'm on the phone with Apple for the third time tonight right now. Current time is exactly 20 minutes since I called. Luckily, I have my iPhone earbuds, so I don't have to hold the phone up to my ear

Woooohooooo! Apple gave me $150 credit, so now I can buy a new iMac instead of a Mac mini!
