So my mini is pretty much dead. I could fix it, but I'd rather just invest in a new iPod. What should I get? I have a ton of music, but the music that I listen to the most only takes up 5.7 Gb of space, so I don't really need a ton of storage. In total though, I have about 23 Gb. Which new iPod should I get?

Oh, I should have mentioned that I'll be getting an iPhone within the next year or so, so I don't really want to get an iPod touch. I'm afraid one morning I'd grab my iPod insted of phone! What about an 8 Gb nano? Anybody have one yet? I was also thinking a classic because I can put a ton of movies and stuff on it.

The new nano is sweet - if you only need 5.7 gigs of space the 8 gig would be perfect.

All glory to the hypnotoad.

Why wouldn't you just get an iPhone, if you're going to get one anyway?

But he's going to get one anyway, so I can't see that that is going to be an issue.

It could be a $200 issue. Ending a cell phone contract aint cheap, you know.

Yep. About $250 for my contract. I'll just wait it out, got a year left. And I would like to have something seperate from my phone, in case I need to have my iPod playing for an event and need to use my phone, or something like that. An 8 Gb nano sounds like a good idea, although I still like the idea of 80 Gb of storage. I'll probably pick up a (PRODUCT) RED one before the year is out hopefully then

I'd get the 80GB classic. It's good for carrying EVERYTHING. Leave the phone for your "favorite" tunes.

Yep - the extra space is very nice. I personally can't see how people can cope with the 8/16gb range these days.
