Hacked iPhone...

Plugged in the phone for a charge and saw 1.0.2 available. I already had a backup so I chose to add the new software. Well when it goes to download and install the software, i get an unexpected error and the iPhone just continually says "Software Update" at the top of it. Never does anything. I've let it sit here for 30 minutes thinking that maybe the iTunes side of it crapped out but its still running on the iPhone but that never does anything. I have to hold down the power & jumpboard button to reset it. Never updates. It also thinks that the device only has 270 megs capacity total.

My guess is the hack has something to do with it.

Try a full restore before applying the update.

Hold down the home and power button for about 30 seconds to put it into recovery mode, then plug it back into your computer. See if the update/restore will work then.
