iPhone default apps on iPod Touch??

	If iPod Touch is just a stripped down version of the iPhone, would it be conceivable for iPod Touch to use the same default applications from the iPhone. For example; Because both devices feature wifi (as we all know), might it be possible to take the "Mail" application from the iPhone and put it on the iPod Touch? Since I live in China, being able to have near iPhone capability on an iPod Touch would be amazing.
