Delivery date for iPod touch?

Hello to all. To those who preordered iPod touch what is the delivery estimate you received?
Unfrotunately for me I just received an email from Gordon Harwood that they will receive their stock on the 29th. Which means that I will have the product by early october. Isn't this happening the other way around?
Companies receive their stock earlier so they can be delivered on the same day it's out on the stores. At least that's what amazon and a few others do.

Well, I ordered mine on the online Canadian Apple Store the same afternoon it was annonced.
Ships by: Sept.28th
Delivers by: Oct.2nd-5th

It makes sense and I think that's what apple always does. Big stocks for them and if there is any left distribute them to the rest.

Ordered mine a few weeks ago, and was scheduled for shipment on Sept 28th, but I just got a mail saying it shipped today ... a week early. I'm actually a little annoyed, since I was on the verge of cancelling the order, and going with a US iPhone import. Anyway, I can just return it I suppose.
Any other Europeans get shipment notices today?

Well since I didn't order mine through apple (I can't I'm in Greece) but through a retailer I guess I'll have to wait a little bit longer....
No shipment dates for me except the estimate when I made the order which was early october.

My friend got his last week. It seems a few are shipping. Best Buy has them too, here in Colorado Springs. Good luck!

Ordered mine from the apple store on the 25th September, recieved mine today, regular shipping out of china. Week 38 model. Did not come with the update. Works great. I returned my other one 2 weeks ago to the apple store I purchased it from for a bad screen. Was worried I would get burned on another but no problems at all.

I got the week 38 model
