Playing with my new touch and found a edit button. Go into music, touch the "more" button on the bottom right. Then look at the top left, you see an edit button. Pressing this brings up icons over black background. Tried to move things around, double tapped, nothing happens though. Am I missing something? Seems if this area can have a edit option, why can't ical.

It lets you change the icons along the bottom inside the music player. Drag 'n drop IIRC.
