whenever i plug my iphone into the dock to charge it, iphoto and itunes keep popping up and the phone keeps vibrating. I know whenever you plug the phone in to your computer those pop up and what not but they keep popping up. When i close them they pop back up, when i don't close them they cycle popping up and popping up new ones.

what's wrong?

Sounds like either a faulty dock or a faulty iPhone. I assume you reset the phone to see if that would fix it? I would take it in to the Apple Store if I were you.

i don't have an iPhone (i wish i could have one) but in the itunes prefrences under iPhone, there is a box that you can check and uncheck called "disable automatic syncing for all iPhones" If it's checked, un-check it and close down itunes and iphoto and reconnect your iphone and see if what you described in your first post still happens. Also, for my curiosity, when you open iTunes could you tell us if the iPhone is still in the "Devices" list on the left please after unchecking the "disable automatic syncing for all iPhones" Thank you.

It sounds like your dock (or iPhone) keeps losing connection to the other and then reconnecting. That would be why iPhoto keeps opening up, since it will open whenever you plug in your iPhone.
My iPhone makes a noise (not sure if it vibrates) when a sync starts, so if it keeps reconnecting to the dock and starts syncing again, maybe that's what the constant vibration is.

Try it with the regular iPhone/iPod cable and see if it does the same thing. If so, it's probably your phone, if not then it's probably your dock.
