so, i just downgraded from 1.1.1 and i have installer.app i am just curious as to how i know when new applications are added. is there anyway to tell or do i just have to search through?

I'm pretty sure you just have to search through, sadly. On the plus side, if there are updates for any of your installed apps it will ding at you and take you to the update tab automatically.

I guess you can install every app on there and then if anything new shows up you know it's new!

It would be nice if there was a little icon for recently added apps, why not send them some feedback?

you should install summerboard too. or some app launcher. cause if you install more than 7 apps it wont show in the springboard.

The only way to know if new apps are added is to rescroll through the list after it refreshes. If you're looking for updated apps that you've already installed, then it should automatically check for new updates under the Update tab after refreshing.

The above post about summer board, Customize and rSBT are definitely good. I've disabled my dock and made it disappear and my Phone, Safari, Mail and iPod apps are at the top of my screen. I also have a total of 32 native apps installed on my iPhone. To get to them, just scroll with your finger.
