I subscribe to VZ Navigator on my Motorola Razr and am happy with it. Is there anything similar to that on an iPhone? It seems like with unlimited data it would make sense to have some navigation available.

Google maps has routing on it, but no support for GPS.

Personally, it's great for me; I almost always know where I am and just need directions on how to get somewhere. But, if you need GPS location services, then it won't do.

hmm maybe in a later version. I have really become accustomed to the VZ Navigator, it is the only redeeming quality of Verizon.

don't underestimate the value of google maps and the traffic feature in particular.

If you jailbreak your iPhone you can install Navizon. It's a pseudo-GPS that uses the three nearest cell towers to triangulate your position. It's not all that accurate, but probably good enough for an atomic bomb.
